How Are You Peeling? gives students a simple way to name what they are feeling, ask for support, and choose whether they want to share publicly or privately. The goal is not to make every feeling a class discussion. It is to give students a clear starting point and teachers a flexible way to check in.
Use It Your Way
Use the toolkit for whole-class check-ins, private check-ins, or small-group conversations. Students can point, circle, write, or choose a card and sharing details is always optional.

How do I print and prepare it?
Print PDF pages at 100% or Actual Size. Use cardstock for cards and tokens, regular paper for private slips, and laminate reusable pieces such as the board, emotion cards, desk mats, and support cards.
Can students check in privately?
Yes. Students can use a private slip or desk mat, or speak with the teacher quietly. Public sharing is never required, and students may choose to pass or return to the question later.
Is this a mental-health assessment?
No. This resource is designed to support classroom communication and is not a mental-health assessment. Follow your school’s procedures if a student response suggests they may need immediate support.
Can I share this toolkit with other teachers?
The toolkit is licensed for use by the original purchaser in one classroom. It may not be resold, redistributed, or commercially shared.
